Montana Fly Company Sparkle Caddis Pupa - Tan (3-Pack)

From the legendary mind of Gary LaFontaine, the Sparkle Caddis Pupa is one of the great caddis patterns ever created.

This antron body caddis pupa perfectly imitates the emerging (and vulnerable) pupa stage.  We love to fish this off the back of a more visible dry fly on 5x or 6x tippet.  Use about 15" of tippet off the bend of the visible dry fly and don't be surprised when the dry disappears when the fish eats this caddis.  You can also nymph deeper with the aid of split shot or another weighted fly.
