Oregon North Coast Winter Steelhead Adventure – Guided Float Trip – Full Day
February 1st – March 15th
Have you ever dreamed of floating through the dense temperate rainforest of the Oregon Coast searching for chrome coastal steelhead? Fin & Fire is now offering a select set of dates from February through the end of March to target wild and native winter steelhead on Oregon’s North Coast.
The Oregon Coast is home to native winter run steelhead which are larger than their summer steelhead cousin’s we find in our home river of the Deschutes. These fish have big shoulders and are fresh out of the salt. They start entering the north coast streams in December with the peak of the run being late February through the end of March. We target these fresh steelhead with multiple techniques, including swinging flies with two handed spey rods, as well as indicator fishing with beads, egg patterns, and jigs.
The Guide will coordinate exact trip meet time with customer as it will depend on river/weather conditions.You will meet your guide in the parking lot of Tillamook Sporting Goods off Highway 101 in Tillamook, Oregon (Approximately 1.5 hour drive from Portland, Oregon or 4 hour drive from our store in Redmond, Oregon) and follow your guide to the boat ramp. There are six rivers within a 30-minute radius of Tillamook, all of which will fish differently depending on how much rain we’ve received and what the rivers are flowing at. Your guide will determine the best river to fish based on current conditions to ensure the best chance of success. Your guide will work with you throughout the day and teach you how to read water, different fishing techniques, fish handling etiquette and much more. After a full day on the water, the guides vehicle and trailer will be waiting for us at the takeout, and we will then drive you back to your vehicle after an amazing day on the beautiful Oregon Coast.
Trip includes all terminal tackle as well as rods, reels, and lines. Waders and boots are not provided on this trip, so you are responsible for bringing your own.
$595 1-Day Guide Fishing (1 or 2 Anglers)
All anglers will need to purchase an Oregon Fishing License as well as a combo salmon/steelhead tag which can both be purchased through the ODFW app.
Minimum age requirement of 15 years old.

Fin & Fire is not responsible for inclement weather, airline issues, water conditions, or car rentals. Single Day Guide trips can be cancelled 30 or more days prior to your trip for a refund minus a 5% cancellation fee. Cancellations within 30 days of the trip date will forfeit 100% of the trip cost. Multi-Day guide trips are non-refundable. If Fin & Fire decides to cancel the trip to due adverse conditions, the customer may request a full refund.
