In these men's briar-resistant pants, the iconic ToughShell goes full-on PRO in its first redesign since the 2016 launch of what quickly became an upland mainstay. Now even more briar- and thorn-resistant thanks to promising new developments in heavy-duty fabric technology, with fully taped seams for an uncompromising level of wind- and waterproof breathability required by hunters who frequently find themselves following their dogs into the thickest, nastiest conditions. Based on long conversations and testing with the upland world’s most avid, we’ve reinforced the pants throughout the hem and kick plate—places notorious for wear when stomping the miles necessary to consistently keep your dogs on birds. Zippered side vents allow for quick heat dumping during periods of intense bushwhacking, with a gusseted crotch that stretches when scrambling over wire and fences. The inclusion of a grippy waistband with suspender-accommodating belt loops keeps the pants from sagging and your shirt tucked in proper. Across the knee you’ll find articulated panels to better aid in stretching to cross creeks or navigate tight gaps in gamebird cover. Includes water-resistant, zippered hand and back pockets. Lower leg even features a zip for easy on-and-off over boots with an internal, adjustable gaiter to keep water, sticks, and seeds from working their way all the way down to your toebox and annoying you with every step.
